Two proposals for cannabis shops, another for a beer garden and two housing plans will go before the Framingham Planning Board on Thursday night.
Cultivate, which already has a cannabis shop in Leicester, is looking to open a shop at a former Mexican restaurant at 250 Worcester Road on Route 9. It needs Planning Board approval to demolish a house behind the property at 2 Pierce St. to create a 28-space parking lot for the store.
Nova Farm is looking for approval for a marijuana retail shop on Route 30. Nova is proposing knocking down the Central Pools store at 655 Cochituate Road and building a roughly 7,400-square-foot store in its place.
In other proposals, Exhibit 'A' Brewing Co. is proposing an outdoor beer garden on the parking lot of a vacant commercial building across the street from its brewery at 81 Morton St. The existing building on the site, the former home of Hansen Electric Supply, will not be affected, the brewery said.
Exhibit 'A' bought Hansen Electric Supply's land in May for $3.8 million.
A housing development called Maple Glen is going before the Planning Board for a preliminary meeting with officials before plans are officially submitted for review. The proposal calls for 24 duplex units in a cul-de-sac off Nixon Road between Baiting Brook Meadow Farm and Parmenter Road.
The Chapel Hill residential complex on Route 9 is seeking approval for a small expansion. The complex is looking to add eight two-bedroom units in what is now empty office space.
