Maine-based pet health care company Idexx Laboratories Inc., which has operations in Grafton, saw its revenue and profits grow in the second quarter, it announced today.
The company’s revenue and profits grew 6 percent compared to the second quarter of 2011. Idexx earned $75.8 million on $335.6 million in revenue.
The company’s companion animal group – which offers instruments and consumables and laboratory diagnostic and consulting services – was responsible for the increases during the quarter, growing its sales from $259.7 million to $278.3 million.
For the first six months of 2012, revenue was $658.3 million, up from $610.5 million during the same period last year, while profits were $136.2 million, up from $124.8 million.
Idexx plans to release two new software products for veterinarians in the third quarter.
