A Canal District condo building will be sold on March 1 in a foreclosure auction, according to a public notice from Northern Bank & Trust Co. of Woburn.
Paul E. Saperstein Co. Auctioneers and Appraisers of Holbrook will conduct the auction of the historic mill buildings at 70 Winter St. and 85 Harding St. in Worcester, which include nine condominium units.
Built in 1879, the buildings are the former site of the Heywood Boot & Shoe Co. factory.
Northern Bank and Trust Co.of Woburn is selling the property as part of a foreclosure agreement with owner W Lofts Development, LLC of Boston.
The 25,000-square-foot buildings were last sold in 2001 to Red Brick Courtyard, LLC of Worcester for $250,000, according to Worcester property records. The City of Worcester assesses the property at $914,600.
