Giuliano Named Home Care Leader

Montachusett Home Care Corp. of Leominster and Gardner has promoted Gregory Giuliano to executive director.

Giuliano has been the assistant director of the nonprofit agency for the past year. Previously, he was a consultant for the City University of New York's Brookdale Center for Aging, director of aging and disability services for the New York State Department of Social Services and director of Massachusetts' Executive Office of Elder Affairs' Protective Services Program.

Giuliano has a master's from the State University of New York at Albany's School of Public Affairs and a bachelor's in political science from Niagara University. He has been a director for the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, a member of the American Bar Association's Advisory Committee on Legal Problems of the Elderly and a member of the Northwestern District Attorney's Task Force on Protective Services.

Giuliano's appointment follows the retirement of two co-executive directors of Montachusett Home Care Corp., Margaret Woovis and Carol Dubour.

Woovis worked for the organization for 23 years, holding the executive director job since 1996. Dubour was with the organization for 32 years, holding the posts of program manager and assistant director before joining Woovis as co-executive director in 2008.
