Franklin-based PLC Systems Inc. will move its operations to Milford as of Aug. 15, the company announced.
The move, to a smaller facility, is spurred by the company’s shedding of one of its business units to a Florida-based company earlier this year for $1 million. RenalGuard, which helps prevent a medical condition that can lead to renal failure in kidney patients, is now the company’s main product.
The company, which trades on the OTC Bulletin Board, said it boosted sales of RenalGuard during the second quarter of 2011 in the European Union to levels higher than any quarter last year. Revenues were $398,000 for the quarter, up from $249,000 during the same quarter in 2010.
The company sustained a net loss of $541,000, up from $199,000 a year ago.
