A Franklin laboratory that provides analytic testing and consulting services for clients in several industries will be moving operations to Milford this month after it signed a lease for space in a building once occupied by Thermo Fisher Scientific.
ProVerde Laboratories Inc., which has six employees, will lease nearly 16,500 square feet of lab space at 420 Fortune Blvd. in Milford, according to a statement from Greater Boston Commercial Properties, which brokered the deal between ProVerde and the property’s owner, Milford Fenwall Realty.
The space is being retrofitted and will be completed sometime this month. The statement said ProVerde will end up with a fully equipped state-of-the-art laboratory space for its expanding operations.
ProVerde serves clients in several markets, including medical marijuana, pharmaceuticals, food and petroleum. With the coming debut of medical marijuana dispensaries in Massachusetts, state law requires them to provide testing results for samples of their inventory from independent testing facilities.
