Calare Properties, a Framingham developer, is planning a 120,000-square-foot industrial building in Acton at the former home of video technology firm SeaChange International.
The redeveloped site will be suitable for a range of warehouse, manufacturing, flex office, tech, and lab tenants, Calare said. The building at 50 Nagog Park has been three stories, but Calare said it would knock down the building and construct a single-story structure with ceiling heights of up to 32 feet.
Calare, which announced its plans for the site on Aug. 3, said it aims to break ground this fall and complete the project in mid- to late 2021.
Calare bought the 11-acre property from SeaChange in December for $600,000. The property with the office building, which was built in 1986 and had the same square footage as what's proposed to replace it, was last assessed by the Town of Acton at $8.4 million.
SeaChange, a video technology company, has moved to Waltham. The firm bought the site in 2005 for $8.9 million, according to town records.
The Nagog Park area also includes the headquarters for medical device manufacturer Insulet Corp. and cloud company Affirmed Networks, as well as the Avalon Acton apartment complex.
