Framingham-based Trilio, a provider of data protection for cloud-native environments, announced Wednesday its latest ransomware protection with the release of TrilioVault for Kubernetes.
The new ransomware protection and recoverability measures align with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework, a federal standard for cybersecurity, according to the release.
Ransomware has become a rising problem for businesses throughout the world, with high-profile incidents like the Colonial Pipeline, which delivers fuel to the East Coast, having to shut down after hackers gained control of its systems and demanded a bounty.
TrilioVault for Kubernetes provides comprehensive data protection including: backup immutability, encryption, multi-namespace backup support, backup target support, and authentication support.
“Trilio is committed to the challenge of solving the exponentially growing problem of ransomware attacks — and intends to do so in the most complete manner possible through alignment to cybersecurity best practices,” said David Safaii, CEO of Trilio, in a written statement.
