The Nativity School of Worcester, a Jesuit middle school, has hired Alex Zequeira, who served as its founding principal from 2003 to 2004, to return to the principal position.
Matthew Brunell, who has been president of the school since 2006, is leaving to become COO of national urban schools organization Building Excellent Schools.
Zequeira is currently the dean of upper school at Wooster School in Danbury, Conn. He will return to the Nativity School in July.
