The Foundation for MetroWest has announced that Judy Salerno is stepping down from her executive director role after 15 years.
Salerno transitioned into the role of executive director emeritus for the community foundation on Jan. 1 with Jay Kim taking on the executive director role.
Prior to joining the foundation, Kim led fundraising and development work for nonprofit organizations in the greater Boston area, according to the organization’s website. He has spent time fundraising for specific programs at The Boston Foundation, worked in philanthropy at the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, as well as in corporate philanthropy at Target Corp.
The Foundation for MetroWest was founded in 1995. It promotes philanthropy in the region by helping donors maximize the impact of their local giving and serving as a resource for local nonprofit organizations, according to the organization’s website.
