Fallon Clinic In Merger Talks
Fallon Clinic, the Worcester-based medical practice with more than 20 locations around in Central Massachusetts, could be on the verge of merging with Atrius Health, a Newton-based practice nearly three times its size.
In a joint statement, the two organizations said they "are in significant discussions about how we can improve patient care together through an affiliation and hope to reach a conclusion shortly."
Fallon has more than 250 doctors and nearly 250,000 patients, while Atrius, the parent company of the Harvard Vanguard system, has more than 800 doctors and more than 700,00 patients.
