Fallon adds Reliant providers to senior health plan

Fallon Health and Reliant Medical Group were once part of the same organization, with Reliant known as the Fallon Clinic until 2011.
The clinic and the insurer cut ties in 2004 but have remained close since, including the accountable care organization they formed in 2017 as part of a new MassHealth system for providing care. They also partner on a few commercial coverage plans.
Now the two Worcester companies are joining together again. Fallon said Friday it will include Reliant care providers in its network for its Fallon Senior Plan Medicare Advantage plan members starting Jan. 1.
Fallon's senior care program already includes 11,900 primary care providers and specialists across the state. With the addition of Reliant Medical Group, its network of care providers will increase by 500.
Reliant, one of the largest medical groups in Central Massachusetts, has 25 locations, including new locations in the past year or two in Auburn, Milford, Shrewsbury, Westborough and Worcester.
