Evergreen Fires Executives
As it moves through the bankruptcy process, Evergreen Solar Inc. of Marlborough has fired five top executives, including CEO Michael El-Hillow.
Evergreen's board of directors appointed Christian M. Ehrbar, the company's former vice president, as CEO.
The other executives let go are CFO Donald W. Reilly, Chief Strategy Officer Richard G. Chleboski, Chief Technology Officer Lawrence Felton and President and General Manager of Asia Operations Henry Ng.
Directors Peter W. Cowden and Edward C. Grady resigned their positions on the board.
The company said it completed the sale of "all or substantially all" of its core business on Nov. 18 for $6 million in cash and 7.6 million shares of China Private Equity Investment Holdings Ltd., a British Virgin Islands company.
