Energy Efficiency Expert Joins CSG Board

Harvey Michaels, an energy efficiency research director at MIT, has joined the board of the Westborough-based Conservation Services Group.

Michaels is an expert in consumer-centric approaches to efficiency. He has a dual appointment to the MIT Energy Initiative and the Environmental Policy and Planning Program.

Before going to MIT, Michaels founded two companies , Nexus Energy Software in Wellesley, which is now Aclara Software, and XENERGY of Burlington, which is now part of Kema Consulting and Con Edison Solutions.

Michael has bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and urban studies and a master's degree in city planning from MIT. He lives in Wayland.
