Hopkinton data storage giant EMC Corp. has elected Randolph L. Cowen to its board of directors.
Cowen is the former co-chief administrative officer, global head of technology and operations and chief information officer for the Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
He will also serve on EMC’s leadership and compensation committee and mergers and acquisitions committee.
Cowen fills the seat vacated by Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, president and CEO of Kokia Corp., who served on the board since 2004. Kallasvuo left the position because of increasing demands on his time, EMC said.
