IDEXX Laboratories Inc., a Maine-based producer of diagnostic tools for veterinarians with operations in Grafton, reported third-quarter revenue and net income gains Friday.
Revenue increased 5 percent year over year for the quarter ending Sept. 30, the company said, totaling $315.5 million, up from $301 million last year. Net income was $42.8 million, up from $38.5 million in the third quarter of 2011. Earnings per share increased year over year, to 76 cents from 66 cents– a 15-percent jump.
IDEXX CEO Jonathan Ayers said revenue growth was also expected for the quarter. Ayers said new products that were rolled out this summer, including a new web-based platform for the presentation of diagnostic results and education and communications software programs, drove growth.
