A-1 Drilling and Blasting Co., based in Uxbridge, purchased a $1-million plot on Davis Street in Douglas, according to the Worcester County Registry of Deeds.
The property was sold by G&G Realty Trust, which has owned the property since 1999, when the Worcester-based trust bought it for $320,000. G&G is registered to William and Olga Gurwitz of Worcester and Milton and Clara Gurwitz of Rhode Island.
The deal closed June 30. The parcel, marked as 183-185 Davis St., is assessed by the Town of Douglas at $541,300.
The land is 2.15 acres and includes a 9,888-square-foot brick building. The building formerly housed the insurance agency, Agency Intermediaries, which was run by Erina Connors of Connecticut.
A-1 Drilling and Blasting specializes in rock removal with projects throughout New England. The company didn't immediately return a call for comment on Tuesday morning.
