Dover gallops into Texas

Dover Saddlery Retail Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Littleton-based Dover Saddlery, continued its expansion this week with the opening of its sixth store in the last 12 months.
The new store is in North Dallas, Texas. It's Dover's first store in the Southwest. Stephen L. Day, Dover's president and CEO, said equestrians in the Southwest have shown an interest in English-style riding, but had been underserved. Dover is a supplier of English-style tack and supplies.
Since September 2006, Dover has opened stores in Maryland, Viginia and now Texas, bringing the total number of Dover locations to nine.
