Dems use Medway co. to address union

Using technology developed by Medway-based Fireside Communications and Wallingford, Conn.-based VBrick Systems, five Democrats seeking the party's nomination to run for persident, will make their pitch to the Service Employees International Union today.

That the candidates can address the 1.9 million-member union via live video streaming presentations underlines how technology is being used to provide a tailored presentation to a specific audience, the company said.

The same two companies provided Teamsters Local 25 in Charlestown with video streaming capabilities.

The Democratic Presidential candidates presenting today are U.S. Sens. Chris Dodd, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, as well as former U.S. Sen. John Edwards and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.
