St. Mary’s Credit Union plans to open a new branch at the junction of routes 9 and 30 in Westborough, the Marlborough-based financial institution announced.
The branch would be located at the site of a former Friendly’s restaurant, adjacent to a McDonald’s. The plan is subject to local and regulatory approvals.
“This site will allow us to better serve our members in both Westborough and Southborough,” said John R. Caulfield, St. Mary’s president and CEO. “It will also support our growth strategies by providing access to a thriving and growing market for retail and commercial business.”
St. Mary’s has assets of nearly $600 million. It operates five branches in Marlborough, Northborough and Hudson.
