The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) is seeking input for a transportation plan that will drive federal funding allocation in Central Massachusetts over the next 25 years, it said in a statement.
The plan, Mobility 2040, will list the region’s transportation needs and priorities. The commission is creating the plan on behalf of the Central Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (CMMPO), which is comprised of local and state officials. The CMMPO sets regional transportation policy and determines where to allocate federal funds.
The Mobility2040 plan will help allocate federal money aimed at roadways, bridges and public transportation facilities, according to the CMRPC. In addition to the survey, hearings and meetings will be held to gather input for the plan.
The survey examining the priorities of transportation in the region can be taken at www.cmrpc.org/mobility2040.
