Citizens Bank achieved top marks for small business lending in Massachusetts, granting more than 860 loans totaling over $42.5 million.
Citizens was also the number one originator of SBA loans in New England, with 2,000 loans awarded totaling over $90 million. In the mid-Atlantic region, Citizens led SBA lending in all of its markets, including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Deleware and upstate New York.
On a companywide basis, Citizens and its Charter One Bank subsidiaries recorded more than 6,800 loans totaling $320 million.
