National Grid executive to depart

Mike Jesanis, National Grid's Group Director overseeing U.S. distribution, will leave the firm at the end of the year, the company announced.
Jesanis formerly worked for New England Energy System before National Grid acquired the company in 2000. National Grid's chairman, Sir John Parker, credited Jesanis with positioning the company to move ahead with its acquisition of KeySpan, the fifth-largest natural gas distributor in the United States.
National Grid is a London-based company with local headquarters in Northboro.
