American Superconductor Corp., the Devens-based wind turbine company, licensed manufacturing rights for several of the company’s wind turbine designs to a subsidiary of a state-owned Chinese business.
Beijing Jingcheng New Energy Co. has signed a contract to manufacture, market and sell four separate AMSC products. The company is a subsidiary of Beijing Jingcheng Machinery Holding Co., a state-owned clean energy conglomerate.
The contract represents the sixth such manufacturing deal AMSC has with Chinese wind turbine producers.
