Leaders from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, EMC Corp. and Qteros Inc., will be part of a state trade mission to Brazil in December.
Gov. Deval Patrick is heading up the Massachusetts-Brazil Innovation Economy Mission 2011, which is intended to strengthen the state's exports to the country and facilitate partnerships between Brazilian and Massachusetts businesses.
Among the participants are Dennis D. Berkey, president and CEO of WPI; EMC executives Chris Goode and Joel Schwartz and Qteros CEO John McCarthy and Vice President Sue Hagar.
The trip will run from Dec. 4 - 9 and will include visits to universities, companies and government offices in Brasilia, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
The governor is also leading a smaller trade mission to Chile from Dec. 1 - 2.
