Cataldo Ambulance Services, a business headquartered in Somerville, has purchased a 5,900-square foot building at 79 May St. in Worcester. The property is currently the location of Brave Auto Sales and Services.
The sale price for this transaction was $1.15 million. The deal closed on Sept. 18, according to a press release from Worcester real estate brokerage NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, which represented both the buyer and seller.
The former owner of the property was Bravo owner George Sotiropoulos, who bought the property in 2014 for a sale price of $415,000, according to City of Worcester property records.
Cataldo provides ambulance services to select communities in the North Shore and Greater Boston areas, as well as in the city of Holyoke.
Cataldo was founded in 1977 and got its start as the City of Somerville’s ambulance provider, according to the company’s website. It has since expanded its operations by purchasing a number of other private emergency medical service providers in Massachusetts.
