A Canton-based firm, which already owns several car washes in Central Massachusetts, has purchased four more for a total price of $3.41 million.
Entities managed by Joseph, Nir, and Ronen Drory purchased the five properties in four different municipalities in deals finalized on March 11, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records.
All four sites were purchased from the Pallotta Family Realty Trust of Shrewsbury.
The entities involved in the purchase share an address with Prestige Car Wash, a firm which operates 30 car washes across Eastern and Central Massachusetts. Prestige previously purchased two car washes in Marlborough and Shrewsbury for a combined $4.75 million in 2022 and purchased a Milford plaza for $4.7 million in 2023 with the intent of constructing a car wash at the site.
The four new properties purchased were:
- 888 Southbridge St., in Auburn
- 1 Meadow Road, in Spencer
- 114 West Boylston St., in West Boylston
- 579-589 Millbury St., in Worcester
The U.S. is home to about 60,000 car washes, with the industry expanding about 5% annually, according to NPR. Investors have been constructing more car washes as automation technology has reduced the need for workers and subscription models have increased their ability to generate steady revenue, leading local governments from throughout the country to take steps to discourage the construction of more car washes.
The four properties purchased by the Drories were given a combined 2025 tax assessment value of $3.28 million, according to municipal property records.
