The owners of Canton-based Prestige Car Wash and Gas bought a portion of a Milford shopping plaza for $4.7 million. They plan to build a car wash on part of the site.
New York Capital Investment Group of Canton, registered to Joseph, Nir, and Ronen Drory, purchased a 10-acre portion of a shopping plaza at 146 South Main St. in Milford on Friday, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.
The group received approval from the Town of Milford to build a 35,000-square-foot drive-through car wash on a portion of the site. The remainder of the site is occupied by a 77,000-square-foot retail building, leased to a Planet Fitness gym and Milford Ace Hardware, among other businesses.
The property was last sold to the seller So. Main Plaza, LLC of Westport for $3.1 million in 2004.
The sale does not constitute the entire plaza. A five-acre parcel closer to Route 140 has a different owner.
Prestige Car Wash has 30 locations according to the company’s website, including two locations in Central Massachusetts: Shrewsbury and Marlborough, which the family purchased in 2022 for $4.8 million.
