MacDougall Biomedical Communications, a Wellesley firm managing public relations for the biotech industry, is expanding into a new Natick office building.
MacDougall will lease more than 9,500 square feet at 1075 Worcester St. as part of a 61,000-square-foot building being constructed by Exponent, an engineering and scientific consulting firm.
The lease was announced Wednesday by R.W. Holmes Commercial Real Estate, which represented both the tenant and the landlord, Exponent, which is leasing out some parts of the building's first and third floors. Another 12,000 square feet remains available.
MacDougall, which has worked with pharmaceutical giants Biogen and Sanofi, among others, has offices in Munich, Germany.
Exponent, which now has offices at 9 Strathmore Road in Natick and at the Mill & Main complex in downtown Maynard, kicked off construction of the new offices last summer. It said then the new building will be three times the size of the current Natick offices, allowing the company to expand laboratory capabilities and grow to a staff of approximately 200. It now has 85 employees in Natick and Maynard.
The new office site is the former home of Toolmex Industrial Solutions, a company now based in Northborough.
