Charlton-based AMCOMM Wireless, which at times operated stores across Central Massachusetts, has sold its remaining five stores to BeMobile, a Verizon-authorized cell phone retailer based in North Dakota, the local business announced on Wednesday.
The company’s first stores were located in West Boylston and Sturbridge, and later included outposts in Worcester, Webster and Fitchburg, before expanding out of state. The owners, Mark Amadio and Kyriakos Konstantakis, began selling off locations three years ago.
As of Aug. 1, their remaining five stores, all located in New Hampshire, have been sold off.
“We are proud of the success we’ve had,” said Amadio, in a statement. “Our mission was to deliver an exceptional customer experience and to be a vital part of the communities we serviced. We are proud to have accomplished that goal.”
The pair said in their announcement they plan to begin another business venture together, but did not say what it will be.
