After joining the Worcester mental health and addiction treatment center in May, AdCare Hospital CEO Brian Stoesz has left the role.
Stoesz vacated the position in November, according to his LinkedIn profile. In a statement to WBJ, the hospital said Stoesz made “the difficult decision to unexpectedly step away from his leadership role.” His exact departure date and reason for leaving the role was not provided.
Ellen-Jo Boschert, the chief operating officer of American Addiction Centers, which operates AdCare Hospital, temporarily took on the interim CEO position, according to AdCare. During the week of Nov. 13, AdCare named Andrea Dayotas interim CEO and Leslie Goncalves as interim COO.
Dayotas was previously COO at AdCare, having stepped into the role in August. Goncalves was director of nursing at the hospital. Plans for a replacement on a non-interim basis have not yet been made.
Stoesz joined AdCare with 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Before taking on the CEO role, he has been an independent consultant to treatment companies at the startup level.
