AdCare Hospital in Worcester has named Brian Stoesz as its new CEO.
Stoesz joins the addiction and mental health treatment center with over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health realm, most recently as an independent consultant to treatment companies at the startup level or through the merger-and-acquisition process. Previously, Stoesz was division vice president at Summit Behavioral Healthcare in New Jersey, where he assisted in building out operations, according to a Tuesday press release from AdCare.
Stoesz graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in psychology, as well as a master’s degree in leadership, according to his Linkedin account.
“The hospital has a long-standing reputation, and has been, and continues to be, a lifeline to so many in the community and beyond. I’m committed to ensuring that AdCare Hospital remains that beacon of hope and I look forward to working alongside this amazing and dedicated team,” Stoesz said in the press release.
The position of CEO was previously held by Romas Buivydas, who left the position to be chief of psychiatric operations at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston, according to his LinkedIn.
“Brian is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to behavioral health and addiction treatment, and I have the utmost certainty that under his guidance and leadership that AdCare Hospital will flourish,” Fred Trapassi, American Addiction Centers Northeast regional CEO and CEO of AdCare Rhode Island, said in the press release.
AdCare was acquired by Tennessee-based American Addiction Centers in 2018.
