Acton firm launches On Demand Deutschland

The On Demand Group, an Acton-based subsidiary of SeaChange International, is seizing on what it calls Europe's greatest opportunity for digital television service.
On Demand announced that it had joined forces with Tele Munchen Gruppe to form On Demand Deutschland in order to serve the German television market.
According to On Demand, Germany, Austria and Switzerland boast more than 45 million German-speaking television-owning households.
However, the vast majority of those households do not use digital subscription television service. Also, video on demand cable television isn't yet widely available in the German language market.
Tele Munchen Gruppe has been operating in Germany for 30 years, and is able to exploit all audio-visual rights through its own distribution channels.
