Media Buyer, Penta Communications
Company location: Westborough
Residence: Marlborough
Age: 30
Career highlights: As a student at Boston University, I interned at WLVI-TV and started my career working in television in Boston before I graduated college. From there, I was very fortunate to join the team at Penta Communications and became a media buyer. In this role, I work directly with the media to negotiate the best buys for our clients and with our creative team to develop messaging. I’m always looking for the best media opportunities for our clients to achieve the best campaign results.
Community involvement: I participate on the Corridor Nine Chamber’s membership development committee, as well as on the advisory board for HYPE9, the chamber’s young professionals group. I am also part of Penta’s community relations committee.
Biggest success: My biggest success professionally was being selected to lead and manage our new Small Business Division. We launched this initiative in Fall 2009 to help smaller businesses in our region combat the effects of the recession and develop the tools they need to grow their businesses.
Mentors: I’m actually very lucky to work with a wonderful mentor every day: Penta’s Founder & CEO Deborah Penta. She’s a wonderful example of a true business leader and someone who “pays it forward.”
Hidden talents: I’ve always enjoyed music. I played the violin in the Shrewsbury school system orchestras from 4th grade throughout high school, and I taught myself to play the piano. Plus, I’m a very talented shopper! I can spot a sale and save money like nobody’s business.
