Career highlights: I joined the YWCA Central Massachusetts two years ago and am responsible for overseeing the organization’s brand marketing and web platform. Starting as an assistant, I created a variety of print materials for the YWCA’s programs and services, in addition to executing events and fundraising. Within a year I was promoted to an associate position, where I manage the organization’s brand, e-marketing activities and communication materials.

Community involvement: My philosophy on community involvement is to find a cause that you are passionate about and push for real change. That is what I have found to be the most enjoyable part of volunteering. I mostly focus my community service activities on mentoring young women. For years, I have also assisted in activities to raise funds for homeless families, including Central Mass Housing Alliance’s Annual Walk for the Homeless and H.A.T.S. Off fundraisers.

Biggest professional success: Everyday I find myself adding pieces to this puzzle. Centralizing marketing efforts, re-establishing a brand image, challenging others to see things not as they are but as what they can become—are all pieces of what I consider to be my biggest success. While each individual piece appears to be a marginal outcome, together it’s bringing about real change and I believe the most powerful waves begin as a single drop.

Dream job: Helping women live happily is important to me and L’Oreal has made generations of women happy. To lead that company as an executive would be my ultimate dream job.

Businessperson she admires most and why: I find Keith Ferrazzi, CEO of Ferrazzi Greenlight, completely fascinating. He is one of those rare individuals who inspires others to think and dream bigger about their world and the world around them. He is also the author of Never Eat Alone, which exposes his formula for making to the top through a powerful, balanced combination of marketing acumen and networking savviness.

If you weren’t doing the job you’re doing now, what would you do? If I wasn’t doing this, I would probably be enrolled in a graduate business program full-time.

Favorite movie: The Little Mermaid. It was the first movie I fell in love with.

If you were stuck on a desert island what book would you want to have with you? I would need to have L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad. It’s as guilty a pleasure as the TV show.
