Seven Hills Foundation

Responding to the Crisis

Seven Hills Foundation & Affiliates has established an Emergency Response Fund to help secure the funding to cover the extraordinary costs associated with our work to keep the individuals we support, along with our 4,600 staff members, safe and well. The Emergency Response Fund is helping to offset Personnel Protection Equipment (PPE), laptops, and tablets to utilize telehealth, telepsychiatry, distance learning, and to keep individuals connected with family and friends. Funds are needed as our programs continue to upgrade technology systems to keep all of our individuals engaged and healthy. Many of the families we serve are in need of food, basic essentials, and transportation. Seven Hills staff continues to distribute gift cards to families and individuals, as well as respond to a wide variety of necessities to keep people safe and healthy.


Future Goals

1. Continue as the employer of choice in health and human services by providing competitive wages, a robust benefits package, and by encouraging and supporting professional development.

2. Continue to provide the highest quality of services that are self-directed, community-focused, and consistent with our Core Values of Respect and Kindness, Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation, and Service to Others.

3. Lead the delivery of services and supports that promote community inclusion, including integrated competitive employment, residential options, and provide a full life in the community. 

4. Integrate cultural competency at every level within the organization through a vibrant Diversity & Inclusion Council. 

5. Expand our use of technology and virtual learning and social opportunities for supported individuals.

6. Continue to support sustainable humanitarian efforts in the home countries of our diverse staff through our Seven Hills Global Outreach affiliate. 

7. Strengthen collaborations with statewide Accountable Care and Managed Care Organizations to provide optimum care coordination for people needing long-term services and supports.

8. Use this challenging time to redesign the provision of supports utilizing telehealth and remote technologies within the community.


Fundraising Opportunities

The Annual New Beginnings Charity Golf Tournament on October 19, 2020, raises funds for the Community Connections program, providing social, competitive, and recreational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. The tournament needs sponsors, donors, auction items, volunteers and golfers. Sign up at sevenhills.org/nbgolf.

The Annual Lori Lajoie Charity Golf Tournament needs sponsors, donors, auction items and volunteers each August. 

The Annual Bigger Dipper All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream Festival each June needs volunteers at Elm Park in Worcester.

BINGO at Seven Hills Foundation raises funds for our various programs and services. Come play or volunteer on Monday, Thursday, or Saturday evenings. Doors open at 5:00pm at 81 Hope Ave. in Worcester.

Volunteer Opportunities

Family Services of Central Massachusetts’ Senior Care Volunteer Program recruits people, aged 55 and over, to connect one-on-one with seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living and can benefit from socialization and friendship. 

Family Services of Central Massachusetts’ RSVP Volunteer Programs, part of a nationwide network of nearly 200,000, recruits people and retirees, aged 55 and over, to share their talents, skills, and life experiences with their communities in various capacities.

YOU, Inc., specializing in behavioral health and education, is in need of volunteers to share their talents, from casual hobbies to their life’s passion for the benefit of the agency’s participants, clients, or the community.

Seven Hills ASPiRE! day programs for adults with disabilities are always seeking a wide array of specialists on-site to volunteer their time to teach and socialize with participants.

Seven Hills’ Family Support Centers in Worcester, Fitchburg, and Sturbridge fill their event calendars with trainings, information sessions, workshops, creative activities, etc. with a call to volunteer experts in various fields to bring their knowledge and talent on-site or out in the community.
