1. Southbridge Emergency Department Renovation; started in July 2018, this approximately $5 million renovation will expand capacity, increase safety and improve patient flow.
2. Continued expansion of Behavioral Health Services, including ED Recovery Treatment Initiation and overall Care Navigation with a behavior modification focus to improve long-term treatment results for patients with chronic conditions.
3. Increased focus on Population Health; fostering the overall health of the residents in our communities, in collaboration with community partners, to enhance access and improve all aspects of wellbeing.
Harrington Hero Gala, 2019 - Harrington will host its annual major fundraising event in the summer of 2019; a black-tie optional gala with a well-known celebrity and a pre-event VIP Reception. Each year Harrington’s Fundraising Event benefits a specific focus area for which funding is needed. In 2018, the Harrington Hero Gala (A Fare to Remember) raised $220,000 toward the Southbridge Emergency Department Renovation Project. With an estimated $5 million in renovations under way, the 2019 event will likely be an effort to round out that project.
Dr. Van’s Golf Tournament – Harrington HealthCare and the Southbridge Rotary Club hold the Dr. VanVooren’s Annual Golf Tournament in September at the Raceway Golf Club in Thompson, CT. This tournament has been held for more than 30 years with an excellent following of golfers and generous community donors. Proceeds from the Tournament are used to support Harrington’s comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program by providing educational materials, YMCA memberships and equipment for patients.
Donations gratefully accepted year round via mail or online at www.harringtonhospital.org/give Gifts can also be mailed to the Harrington Hospital Development Office, 100 South Street (4th Floor), Southbridge, MA 01550. Examples of giving opportunities include:
