In my opinion this move with either or both state and Federal tax will not help whatsoever. On average the tax saves between .18 to .25 per gallon. All this does, is allows the oils and gas companies to either stagnate or reside prices. In turn the lack of tax funds shortens an already depleted balance for toads and bridge repairs. It’s a catch 22 and a ploy to bandaid an already gaping wound throughout the country.
