Gov. Charlie Baker has established a Reopening Advisory Board, co-chaired by Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and Housing and Economic Development Secretary Mike Kennealy. The group is fielding input from industry groups and other key stakeholders about how best to reopen the state's economy. But during daily press briefings, Baker has largely declined to share specific information about how he envisions Massachusetts getting back to work.

He is providing poor leadership. He seems afraid to move off the status quo even though several states have already given us a blueprint for how to open safely and effectively. He was forced to open golf courses by a brewing revolt by golf course operators. He was forced to open gun shops by court order. He has refused to open churches and will lose in court on that one as soon as a city or town tries to enforce his order. The state is opening according to common sense whether the governor thinks so or not... Stores that are open are packed. Most people are not afraid to go out, and those who are should stay home. The governor is leading from the rear.
