The Worcester Together: Central Massachusetts COVID-19 Fund will distribute $1 million to organizations that present plans to disrupt systems which uphold societal inequities, the Greater Worcester Community Foundation announced on Tuesday about its third and final stage of funding.
Letters of intent will be due by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7.
“As we approach the final phase of Worcester Together, we are looking for proposals that seek to influence and update those ways of thinking that create hurdles and continue to challenge our community,” said Barbara Fields, GWCF president and CEO, in a statement.
The organization is seeking applications which examine causes of inequities and which include draft plans to disrupt their support systems, as well as applications for organizations or collaborations which plan to reduce barriers and create new, more equitable systems.
After the application process is complete, grant awards will be announced in early February 2021. Application information is available on the GWCF website.
