The Botanist, the retail arm of the cannabis firm Acreage Holdings, which maintains U.S. headquarters in New York City, has opened an adult-use marijuana dispensary in Shrewsbury, and added adult-use sales to its Worcester location, the company announced on Wednesday.
The Shrewsbury location is at 235 Hartford Turnpike; the Worcester location is at 65 Pullman St.
Out of concern for medical customers, The Botanist said in Worcester it will reserve 30% of its inventory for medical marijuana card holders, and will devote one hour a day -- from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. -- to serve them. The store will continue medical-only discounts and loyalty rewards, as well as dedicated patient parking.
Both locations will be open seven days a week.
