Worcester manufacturer New England Industrial Coatings purchased a 17,484-square-foot industrial building at 11 Old Worcester Road in Webster, in order to move its headquarters there.
The sale for $1.25 million closed on June 2 and was brokered by NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs.
New England Industrial Coatings was founded in 1990 and provides powder, paint, and specialty coatings to a range of industries.
The seller of the property was DJJ Realty, LLC, an entity registered to Donald Marshall, the president of DG Marshall Associates, a manufacturer of conveying systems. That company has moved to Charlton.
The property was last sold in 2007 for $710,000, according to the Worcester Registry of Deeds and was last assessed by the Town of Webster at $651,400.
NEIC is leaving its location at 50 Lagrange St. at a time of tremendous change in that neighborhood. The property is part of a proposed 63-unit development and is across the railroad tracks from the 300 Southbridge Street redevelopment.
