In a unanimous vote on Wednesday night, the Worcester Planning Board approved a definitive site plan application for a 63-unit apartment complex on Lagrange Street.
Along with the apartment units, the plan includes 5,100 square feet of commercial space and 85 parking spaces, according to lawyer Donald O’Neil, who represented Worcester Lagrange MM LLC at the meeting.
The LLC is registered to Jon Rudzinski, the president of Jamaica Plain developer Rees-Larkin Development, LLC, who submitted the proposal.
The parcel is almost 3.9 acres with five existing manufacturing buildings, making up 110,000 square feet. O’Neil said one of the buildings, which is about 900 square feet, will be demolished to allow for more parking on site.
Both affordability and historical preservation are priorities in the project, said Tom Ryan, one of the planners.
