To accommodate the hiring of eight new employees since the beginning of the year, Worcester law firm Christopher, Hays, Wojcik & Mavricos LLP moved into a new downtown space last week that is double the size of the firm's former Main Street location.
The firm, which was founded in 1989 in Worcester, specializes in general practice civil and business litigation. In the last few years it has expanded into estate and trust planning, administration, taxation and business planning services, according to John Mavricos, a partner at the firm.
"We saw this as an opportunity to expand the services we offer to our clients and as an opportunity to grow our client base," Mavricos said.
The firm has almost doubled its staff size since the beginning of the year, bringing the total number of people employed at the firm to 18. The firm has added two partners, an associate, two paralegals and three support staff. It now has six partners.
The firm moved from a 5,000-square-foot space at 370 Main St. in Worcester to a 10,000-square-foot space at 446 Main St.
