Worcester gas prices slip below national average

The average price of gasoline in Massachusetts, as well as in Greater Worcester, is now slightly below the national average, according to Tuesday data from the travel association AAA.

“Gas prices locally are in a bit of a winter lull, and supplies of oil and gasoline are sufficient to meet demand,” Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast vice president of public and government affairs, said in a Monday press release.

As of Tuesday morning, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Massachusetts is $3.31. Nationwide, the average price is $3.327.

Locally, the average in Greater Worcester is $3.254 while the average in Cambridge-Newton-Framingham is $3.368.
