Worcester detox facility opens mental health unit

Florida-based Haven Health Management is expanding its substance abuse treatment facility in Worcester with a new unit focused on providing mental health care.

The Haven Detox-New England has added a unit to primarily treat individuals with bipolar disorder, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among other diagnoses, according to a Monday press release from the center.

“Our commitment remains resolute in providing exceptional care for individuals navigating substance use disorders and mental health challenges. The establishment of our new facility mirrors our belief in universal access to comprehensive and compassionate care. We’re thrilled to be taking this significant stride in meeting the demand for specialized mental health treatment, reinforcing our dedication to holistic wellness and fostering long-term recovery,” Haven Detox-New England Founder Jack Maroney said in the press release.

The new unit will be open to patients with or without co-occurring substance abuse issues. The facility will be equipped with diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and will be a solely mental health-dedicated unit.

The detox facility includes medical detoxification services and is available for drug or alcohol abuse treatment, according to the facility’s website.
