A 16,600-square-foot medical office on 48 Elm St. in Worcester was bought by the owners of local restaurant Wings Over Worcester, according to the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds.
The $1.65 million deal closed Feb. 3 and facilitated by NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs of Worcester.
The buying entity, Hilltop Group Holdings LLC, is registered to Laurian Banciulescu and Matthew Kamins who own a franchise of the chicken wing chain, located in Kelley Square. Kamins and Baniciulesco brought the franchise to Worcester in 2006.
"Our plan is to build on our current tenant base by reinvesting to both refresh and revitalize the space to attract other professionals who are looking to grow their business and practices in the heart of Worcester," said Banciulescu in an email. Banciulescu is listed as a landlord on MassLandlord, Inc.
The pair bought the building from a business corporation registered to Eugene Mariani, Jr., a retired periodontist who practiced at the property on Elm Street. Worcester Periodontics remains as the building’s main tenant.
Along with the two-story building, there are 84 parking spaces included on the one-acre property. It is assessed by the City at $2.5 million.
