Waters Corp., a life sciences company based in Milford, announced on Wednesday it has released a new small molecule analysis tool aimed at simplifying the work process for bench scientists.
The ACQUITY RDa Detector, which can be used in pharmaceutical, academic, food, and forensics applications, is the company’s newest time of flight mass spectrometer.
“With the ACQUITY RDa Detector, we've taken the complexity of operating a mass spectrometer and put it behind the user interface so that the bench scientist doesn't have to worry about how it works, but about what to do with the high-quality, reproducible results the detector produces,” said Ian King, senior vice president of global products, in a statement.
The technology is designed to be a user friendly device which will, according to Waters, reduce training, limit downtime and ensure consistent, reproducible results.
