Fresh off completing a purchase of Australia-based Mav3rik in May, Southborough tech firm Virtusa has made another acquisition, this time purchasing Sincera Technologies, a New Hampshire-based firm which Virtusa says will strengthen its AI and data transformation capabilities.
Sincera’s main product is 1Data, a low-code, no-code data management platform, according to a Tuesday press release from Virtusa. Sincera’s experience with business automation and optimizing network infrastructure will help Virtusa meet the needs of telecom operators and other service providers.
“Sincera’s extensive telecommunications domain expertise and proven client success stories make this acquisition a perfect strategic fit,” Sanjay Deshpande, North America head of banking, communications, and emerging industries at Virtusa, said in the press release. “The communications industry is undergoing unprecedented transformation, and Sincera’s specialized knowledge in the telecom sector will significantly enhance our ability to provide industry-leading solutions to our clients.”
Financial details of the purchase were not disclosed.
“Joining Virtusa allows us to leverage our telecommunications expertise with global delivery capability and reach a broader base of clients in the communications industry,” Sincera CEO Sanjay Jain said in the press release.
Founded in 2003, Sincera is headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, according to its LinkedIn page.
Virtusa has more than 27,000 employees and 220 clients in 25 countries, according to its website. The company is led by President and CEO Nitesh Banga, who took over in February.
