As the Massachusetts continues to reopen its economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, UMass Memorial Health Care is offering to do group testing for businesses’ employees at five Central Massachusetts locations.

Those five CareWell Urgent Care centers are:

  • 348 Greenwood St. in Worcester
  • 500 Lincoln St. in Worceter
  • 380 John Fitch Highway in Fitchburg
  • 757 Boston Post Road in Marlborough
  • 333 Southwest Cutoff in Northborough

While comprehensive COVID-19 testing of employees isn’t required for businesses to reopen, the restrictions placed on businesses by Massachusetts state officials include opening at reduced capacity and ensuring all employees are healthy. Those who show symptoms of the coronavirus are not allowed to come to work.

Dr. Eric Dickson, UMass Memorial president and CEO, urged testing for employees regardless, even though they may be asymptomatic. The tests available include nasal swabs and blood tests.
